520	3		_aDe febrero a diciembre de 2024, se recopilaron datos sobre los desembarques pesqueros en las comunidades de Sipacate y Tecojate, ubicadas en la costa del Pacífico de Guatemala. En Sipacate, los desembarques se clasificaron en siete grupos: pescado de primera, pescado de bajo valor comercial (Cachaco), bagres, rayas, pargo, camarón y tiburón. Durante este período, se evaluaron más de 57,000 libras de producto. El grupo más destacado en volumen fue el pescado de primera, donde la especie principal fue la curvina amarilla (Cynoscion reticulatus), representando el 40% de la captura total y el 36% del valor económico. Por otro lado, los condrictios (tiburones y rayas) representaron el 14% del volumen de descarga y el 17% del valor económico. Para el estudio de las especies en Sipacate, se recolectó información de 2,714 organismos, entre los cuales se identificaron 47 especies de peces óseos, dos especies de crustáceos, cuatro especies de tiburones y tres especies de rayas. En Tecojate, se evaluaron más de 47,000 libras de producto. Al igual que en Sipacate, el grupo más importante en volumen fue el pescado de primera, destacándose la curvina amarilla (C. reticulatus) y el bagre (Cathorops steindachneri). La curvina amarilla representó el 58% del volumen de descarga y el 69% del valor económico. En Tecojate, se recolectó información de 831 organismos, identificándose 33 especies de peces óseos, una especie de crustáceo, una especie de tiburón y una especie de raya.

In Sipacate, landings were categorized into seven groups: high-value fish, low-value commercial fish (Cachaco), catfish, rays, snapper, shrimp, and shark. During this period, over 57,000 pounds of product were evaluated. The most prominent group in terms of volume was high-value fish, with the main species being the yellow croaker (Cynoscion reticulatus), ac-counting for 40% of the total catch and 36% of the economic value. On the other hand, chondrichthyans (sharks and rays) represen-ted 14% of the landing volume and 17% of the economic value. For the study of species in Sipacate, data were collected from 2,714 organisms, among which 47 species of bony fish, two species of crustaceans, four species of sharks, and three species of rays were identified. In Tecojate, over 47,000 pounds of product were evaluated.
