La historia, la cultura y la identidad se fortalecen a partir del acceso a las fuentes primarias de información, entre ellas están las documentales, orales e iconográficas, primordialmente. Con el pasar del tiempo, muchas de estas fuentes están destinadas a su desaparición si no se les da una recolección, catalogación y difusión que permita la conservación del patrimonio cultural, principalmente en las comunidades de los pueblos originarios que visibilice en el discurso histórico nacional. En ese contexto nace este proyecto cuyo objetivo general ha sido: Crear una Fototeca digital de la Memoria Histórica del municipio de Sololá, con cuatro objetivos específicos: 1. Crear la infraestructura tecnológica y protocolos de procedimientos de la fototeca, para la administración de los archivos y colecciones que la conformen y que permita la accesibilidad para la consulta para investigadores y público en general. 2. Recolectar fotografías antiguas de Sololá, para la generación de los acervos fotográficos que conformarán la fototeca.3. Procesar archivísticamente las fotografías antiguas de Sololá para su disponibilidad y acceso a los archivos y colecciones que conforman la fototeca. 4. Diagramar un libro digital sobre fotografías antiguas de Sololá, como recurso accesible para la divulgación y muestra de los acervos de la fototeca. Esta investigación aplicada se realizó con un enfoque cualitativo y fue ejecutada por un equipo multidisciplinario, en cuatro fases: I. Creación de condiciones para funcionamiento de la Fototeca. II. Recolección de información documental fotográfica. III. Procesamiento, sistematización y análisis de las fotografías. IV. Sistematización de las fotografías para su difusión. En todo el proceso, se aplicaron técnicas de investigación como: mapeo de actores, revisión documental, entrevistas estructuradas, indagación naturalista, lectura de fotografías, reproducción digital y diseño un libro de fotografías con una muestra representativa de los fondos fotográficos recolectados, acompañado de narrativa interdisciplinar que visualiza las oportunidades de este proceso innovador en la investigación aplicada a comunidades Se generaron los siguientes productos: un informe sobre la creación de la fototeca; una fototeca desarrollada con sistema con código abierto, disponible para el uso científico y cultural de la comunidad; un libro digital sobre fotografías antiguas de Sololá; un manuscrito científico y una ponencia. History, culture and identity are strengthened through access to primary sources of information, primarily documentary, oral and iconographic sources. As time goes by, many of these sources are destined to disappear if they are not collected, cataloged and disseminated to allow the conservation of cultural heritage, mainly in the communities of indigenous peoples to make it visible in the national historical discourse. In this context, this project was born, with the general goal being: Create a digital photo library of the Historical Memory of the municipality of Sololá, with four specific goals: 1. Create the technological infrastructure and procedural protocols of the photo library for the administration of the archives and collections that make it up, also for the accessibility for consultation by researchers and the general public. 2. Collect old photographs of Sololá, to generate the photographic collections that will form the photo library.3. Process the old photographs of Sololá in an archivally way, to make it available and to give access to the files and collections that make up the photo library. 4. Lay out a digital book about old photographs of Sololá, as an accessible resource for the dissemination and display of the photo library's collections. This applied investigation was carried out with a qualitative approach and was executed by a multidisciplinary team, in four phases: I. Creation of conditions for the Photo Library to function. II. Collection of photographic documentary information. III. Processing, systematization and analysis of photographs. IV. Systematization of photographs for dissemination. Research techniques were applied throughout the process: mapping of actors, documentary review, structured interviews, naturalistic inquiry, reading of photographs, digital reproduction and the design of a photographic book with a representative sample of the photographic funds collected accompanied with an interdisciplinary narrative that visualizes the opportunities of this innovative process in research applied to communities. The products are: a report on the creation of the photo library; a photo library developed with an open source system available for the scientific and cultural use of the community; a digital book about old photographs of Sololá; a scientific manuscript and a presentation.
